The man behind it
From collector to Youngtimer La Haye

Arend Swart has been collecting cars since 2006. Through his passion he got to know motoring journalists, specialists and fellow collectors: the whole youngtimer world.
On 1 April 2016 he started Youngtimer La Haye. The idea is simple: enthusiasts buy and sell directly, from collector to collector.
Youngtimer refers to the type of car: still affordable, well-kept cars that will become the classics of the future. La Haye is French for The Hague. The three colours are those of France and the Netherlands.
It started in 2006 with two dreams: a BMW Z1 in spring and, in autumn, his first motorcycle, a BMW R1100S BoxerCup Replika. Arend is an enthusiast with broad taste. His phone holds a wish list that keeps changing, and selling lets him fulfil new wishes. A collector who became a dealer.
Arend drives his cars himself, for example in rallies. Recently he drove a youngtimer rally in the yellow Mégane that is now for sale.

His favourite
From the collection: a red 1990 BMW Z1, the roadster whose doors drop into the sills.
